Countryfest Celebrates 25 Years in Dauphin

Canada's longest running country music festival is turning 25. Dauphin's Countryfest kicks off is annual festivities on June 26 and runs until June 29, hosting over 20 mainstage acts plus two additional stages with bands spanning the genres from country to rock to roots.

Eighteen Manitoba acts hit the massive music fest's stages this year, including The Bros. Landreth, Desiree Dorion, JP Hoe, Federal Lights, Leanne Pearson, Jordan Allard, The Craig and Ash Band, Dirty Catfish Brass Band, DJ Co-opOh My Darling, and Until Red.

Headliners this year include country superstars and music legends, many of whom have been a part of Countryfest throughout its  Blake Shelton, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Time Hicks, and many more. 

Countryfest will also highlight emerging talent, hosting 730 CKDM's 12th annual Battle of the Bands, which strives to support and encourage amateur talent from across the country. This year's bands include Refusion, The Bad Marleys, Past the Perimeter, Wreckin' So, and First Born Sons. Competition takes place on June 26 at the Credit Union Corral Stage.

There will also be plenty of ways to celebrate Countryfest's 25 years in the community, including giveaways and prizes.
