Meet Michelle Szeto from Paquin Entertainment Group, who will be joining us this Wednesday, October 8 for DIY Series' How to Write an Effective Artist Biography.

About Michelle Szeto 
Michelle is the director of marketing and public relations at Paquin Entertainment Group, oversees the global initiatives for iconic performers such as Buffy Sainte-Marie and Randy Bachman, along with Juno-nominated singer-songwriter Del Barber. Pivotal in the development and expansion of the company’s tour marketing management services, Michelle has launched successful tour campaigns for clients including Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Blue Man Group and Aerosmith.

In addition to her role at Paquin Entertainment Group, she also lends her expertise to the Company’s family theatrical affiliate, Koba Entertainment, bringing popular characters, such as Dora the Explorer, The Backyardigans, and Toopy & Binoo, to stages in more than 165 North American cities, 12 countries and four continents.

Now in its second season, our MusicWorks DIY Series offers developing artists and industry, as well as veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the music business. The series starts with the music business fundamentals that everyone needs to master – radio play, bio writing, mastering social media, touring, and understanding copyright -- and ends with planning a release, showing how each of these pieces fit together to create a cohesive strategy.
