It's time for some Big Fun. Big Fun Festival, that is.

Big Fun kicks off its fourth fest January 28, taking over Winnipeg stages for five nights of live music. This year, the indie music festival has expanded, adding an extra day and offering a dozen shows featuring over 40 acts, including many headlining locals.

This year's eclectic lineup includes Animal Teeth, The Catamounts, Cloudfight, Hana lulu, The Hours, Human Music, KEN mode, Micah Visser, Mise En Scene, Odanah, Rayannah, Slow Leaves, Surprise Party, Triggers, Vampires, The Will To Power, and Yes We Mystic, just to name a few. A thwack of other Manitobans take the stage throughout the festival alongside touring artists, including Andy Schauf, Operators, Powder Blue, and more.

Manitoba Music is joining the Big Fun again this year, launching the second edition of January Music Meeting mini-conference January 30 to February 1, featuring panels, workshops, discussion groups, and one-on-one meetings with some top industry names. Big Fun will also present a Manitoba Music Showcase on January 31 at The Good Will with Yes We Mystic, Rayannah, and Slow Leaves, plus performances by Mise en Scene and The Moas.

While you're waiting for the show to start, catch up on Big Fun in the Winnipeg Free Press, The Manitoban, Make a Little Noise, and interviews with a few Big Fun performers in Stylus
