About the Workshop

With topics including bio writing, social media, college radio, touring, and rights management, this workshop will be an update and refresher for participants from this past fall’s DIY Series, and a chance for new participants to catch up and prepare for this season’s events.
The MusicWorks DIY Series is a stream of workshops offering emerging artists, music companies, and veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn music business fundamentals. The 2015 session kicks off with important topics that everyone needs to master including an intro to the music business, accounting/administration, strategic development, the new EPK, and creating a cohesive publicity strategy.
