Manitoba's newest music fest is ready to take over The Forks this summer. After establishing itself in Edmonton, Interstellar Rodeo makes its Winnipeg debut August 14-16, boasting a diverse and dynamic lineup that includes over a dozen acts, from Americana to rock to pop to the truly genre-bending.
Produced by Six Shooter Records, the inaugural fest will feature marquee acts including Sinead O'Connor, Blue Rodeo, Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earl & The Dukes, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Hawksley Workman, July Talk, Amelia Curran, Elliott Brood, award-winning Brandon-based throat singer and composer Tanya Tagaq, and more. "After three successful years in Edmonton, adding Winnipeg as Interstellar Rodeo’s second home was a no brainer," says Sara Stasiuk, Six Shooter's Winnipeg-based director of operations. "This year’s lineup is true to the Six Shooter brand – it has its heart in quality songwriting, and leans towards roots/Americana with a slight dose of the unpredictable. We are especially stoked to present Interstellar Rodeo at The Forks, which is a community hub that will be a beautiful scene for sipping exquisite wine while digging into some great music."
