Manitoba Music is looking for someone to join our team as Professional Development Coordinator. This position is responsible for developing and administering the delivery of Manitoba Music’s professional development initiatives for artist entrepreneurs and music companies. This a full-time position, dependent on funding.

As Professional Development Coordinator, you will work with the Industry Development Manager and industry advisory committee to meet the professional development needs of our membership. This includes the coordination and administration of all logistics for Manitoba Music’s workshop series, outreach initiatives, and related training programs.

We need a Professional Development Coordinator who has a thorough understanding of the changing nature of the music business, connects with our members, has and can further develop a network of contacts in the Canadian music industry, understands the issues facing artist entrepreneurs and music companies in Manitoba, and is passionate about supporting the work of our music community.

You will identify and understand the needs of our members, create learning objectives, develop a training plan, promote the program, and deliver training. You will provide career consults for members, create support materials, be a resource to the Manitoba music industry in music business skills and industry best practices, and provide outreach to youth and other groups.

You will evaluate and analyze our programming, compile results data and success stories, create cost reports, and assist in reporting on the program to funders and partners. You are an excellent administrator who can manage data and prepare plans, timelines, budgets, and reports.

Manitoba Music is a not-for-profit, member-based industry association with a mandate to help Manitoba’s music community reach its fullest potential. We represents over 750 members in all facets of the music industry, including artists, creatives, and companies.
