Pride Winnipeg is ready to bring it's 2016 festivities to the city.

The annual event kicks off on May 27 with a variety of activities throughout the city, culminating in the festival at The Forks on June 4 and 5. Featuring two days of live music, this year's Pride Winnipeg Festival welcomes a diverse lineup to the Festival Stage, including rock outfit The Revival, indie pop act Sc Mira, electronic soul/pop artist Iskwé, R&B/soul rock'n'roll band The Noble Thiefs, indie pop/rockers Mise en Scene, country rocker Jerry Sereda, jazz inspired fusion group Sapphire Empire, rock bands Portrait of Leaders and The Jarrett Lobley Project, and more. Sereda will also be on hosting duties for both shows.

Other events taking place during this year's festival include the flag raising ceremony at City Hall, the Alice in Prideland opening party at 441 Main St., and of course the always inspiring and impressive rally and parade.

There are also plenty live music community events taking place throughout Pride, including NYC hop hop act Dai Burger (May 28) and QPOC open mic (June 4), and QPOC Colour Me Queer party (June 5) at The Good Will and open mic, Treasure Peterson (May 31), open mic night (June 1), and GPOC Ladies' Night at The Planit, third annual AWE Pride Women's event at The Pyramid (June 4), and more.
