What’s your favourite flavour of potato chip?
All chips are equal in my eyes. Sometimes I combine BBQ and SC&O when I’m feeling dangerous. Chips for president. Chips for life.
What’s your desert album record?
Brand New - Deja Entendu
Which artists do you find have the most compelling or interesting social media profiles right now?
Really liking what Avicii did on Instagram, a choose your own adventure to promote the new album. PUP does a great job of supporting their community, keeping humor, and remaining consistent in their brand. Anderson Paak has an amazing Instagram account. I thought I would be bored of multipanel stories but he is just killing it. His brand is completely on point with the exact same aesthetic as his album. It’s a complete tie in.
What’s the last album you listened to in its entirety?
The unreleased album from Stuck Out Here. I can’t wait for the world to hear it.
Robots or dinosaurs?
Robotic dinosaurs only. They fixed the tiny arms problem.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Social media has quickly become one of the most integral marketing and branding tools available to any business. The unprecedented ability to connect and communicate with your audience has transcended novelty and is now a critical and essential part of any artist’s career. In the fall, we talked about the basics of social media strategies. This spring, Coalition Music’s Vanessa Cito will lead us further down the rabbit hole as we explore the relationship between analytics and advertising. Take your social media savvy to the next level as we look at building deliberate and impactful advertising campaigns based on the data you collect from your current audiences and the audiences that you’re targeting.
