Manitoba Acts Earn Canadian Folk Music Award Nods
Three acclaimed Manitoba artists have landed nominations for this year's Canadian Folk Music Awards. The hardware will be handed out on November 30 and December 1 the 14th annual event, this year in Calgary
Roots trio The Wailin' Jennys have picked up a nod for their Billboard chart-topping recording, Fifteen. The two-time JUNO winners were nominated for three awards last in 2011.
Singer/songwriter Raine Hamilton landed her first CFMA nod, this year. The singer/songwriter is up for New/Emerging Artist of the Year for her album Night Sky.
Little Miss Higgins is up for Solo Artist of the Hear for her newest album, My Home, My Heart, which also picked up a Western Canadian Music Award nomination earlier this year.
