The snow is (mostly) gone from the streets and Jazz Winnipeg is ready to take care of the rest as it rolls out the lineup for is 30th annual TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival.

Kicking off on June 18 with an already-annouced event JazzFest x CMHR, this year's festivities root in the heart of the Exchange District and in a special new pop-up venue in St. Boniface. As always, the festival highlights innovative made-in-Manitoba talent, which is set to shine on stage alongside stellar touring acts from across Canada and beyond.

The Cube at Old Market Square has a packed (and free) lineup for the five-day festival run, each night with a curated show spanning the genres from jazz to electronic and indie pop to latin and hip hop. Local acts hitting the stage this year include Ami Cheon, Apollo Suns, Dirty Catfish Brass Band, Efflo, Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds, Liam Duncan, Suzanne Kennelly, Sarau Carioca, and more. They'll be joined by the likes of DJ Shub, Donny McCaslin, Makaya McCraven, Rio Mira, Sarah MacDougall, Sirintip, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, The Comet is Coming, and more. Audiences can find music on the St. Boniface waterfront this year with new festival addition, RAW:JazzFest, which teams the fest up with RAW for a unique concert experience that includes live shows and this year's signature festival cocktail. The series will feature two shows per night of the festival at a purpose-built venue in Parc Elzéar Goulet. The lineup includes Ferro, Living Hour, Rayannah, Veener, viisi, and more. Touring acts making their way to soft-seat venues this year include iconic rapper Common, Grammy-winnipeg vocalist Bobby McFerrin, indie R&B act Noname, New Orleans jam band Galactic, pop music duo Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine, and blues artist Colin Linden. Expat Curtis Nowosad, who now makes his home in New York, will return to share music from his upcoming release. Local openers including Royal Canoe with 3PEAT, Dylan MacDonald, and Olivia Lunny.

Jazz for Lunch will return for free weekday lunch hour shows at Parlour Coffee and Old Market Square. Cinematheque is set to program jazz-centric films for the Jazz Film Festival through the month of June.
