Manitoba Acts Head to Whitehorse for 16th Annual BreakOut West Festival

Manitoba acts are getting ready to take over Whitehorse next week as BreakOut West kicks off its 2019 festivities. Running October 2-6, the 16th annual event features a music festival, industry conference, and awards, as well as plenty of opportunities for emerging Western Canadian artists and music companies to make key connections and do some serious business. 

Local acts making the trip to showcase include several of this year's Western Canadian Music Award (WCMA) nominees as well as a number of acts making waves on the national front. Scroll down for the schedule of artists from Manitoba at the BreakOut West Festival this year.

Manitoba’s music industry is ready to shine at this year’s Western Canadian Music Awards. Artists and music companies are up for 28 awards in 20 categories that recognize those making a real impact on Western Canada’s music scene. Manitoba’s Francophone and pop music scenes have a strong presence, as do companies working in live music. The winners will be revealed during the BOW festivities on October 3 and 5. Read more about this year's nominees

BreakOut West presents an incredible opportunity for emerging and established artists to be a part of the Western Canadian music community. Participating artists and other music professionals have the chance to meet key industry stakeholders, creating the opportunity for a new wave of exciting industry developments from record deals to international tours.
