The Manitoba Country Music Association celebrated the hard work and talent of Manitoba's country music community this month. Presented with Daupin's Countryest, the third annual Manitoba Country Music Awards gala took over The Met on November 10.

Local music legend Cindi Cain was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Kendra Kay and Leanne Pearson were double winners this year. Kay picked up the Fan's Choice award and was named Female Artist of the Year. Pearson won Album of the Year and Music Video of the Year. 

Other winners include Desiree Dorion, Emma Peterson, Past the Perimeter, Petric, Times Change(d) High And Lonesome Club, Two Crows for Comfort, and more.

The MCMA is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the promotion, development, and enhancement of all aspects of Manitoba country music at the local, national, and international level. The MCMA endeavors to create venues for the promotion of Manitoba country artists through sponsorship of its own events and involvement in other organization's events.
