Truth and Reconciliation Week
Manitoba Music will recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day (September 30) and our team will be offline to take the day to reflect. We encourage you to join us in this opportunity to listen and learn.
Throughout Truth and Reconciliation Week (September 27-October 1), we will be sharing information and resources about Indigenous histories, perspectives, and contemporary issues in Canada through our socials. We have a deep gratitude to the many people who’ve shared with us.
For anyone in need of support, a 24-hour national Indian Residential School Crisis Line can be reached at 1-866-925-4419. The Hope for Wellness Helpline at 1-855-242-3310 offers immediate mental health counselling and crisis intervention 24/7 to all Indigenous Peoples across Canada. Phone and chat counselling is available in English and French. On request, phone counselling is also available in: Cree, Ojibway, and Inuktitut.
