Canadian Folk Music Awards Announce 2022 Nominees

The Canadian Folk Music Awards (CFMAs) have announced the nominees for the 17th edition with three nods for Manitoba-based artists William Prince and Kelly Bado.

William Prince is nominated in two categories, including Single of the Year for “Gospel First Nation” and Solo Artist of the Year. Prince won for Contemporary Album of the Year in 2020 and has earned eight CFMA awards, including this year's nods.

Kelly Bado is up for Contemporary Singer of the Year for her latest album, Hey Terre. Bado last picked up a CFMA nomination for World Solo Artist of the Year in 2017. 

The 2022 CFMAs will be held from April 1 to 3 in Charlottetown, PEI. For the full list of nominees, visit folkawards.ca.
