Come Together: Canada’s Coast-to-Coast Artist Showcase & Industry Mingler in Toronto

Artists from across Canada are converging in Toronto this November for a return to live music at the Come Together showcase and industry meetings. 

Seven music industry associations -- Music BC, Alberta Music, SaskMusic, Manitoba Music, Music Nova Scotia, Music Ontario, and CIMA -- have joined forces to get back on stage and reconnect in person with fans, industry, and other artists. 

The free showcase takes over two floors of the legendary Spadina music room El Mocambo on November 15 for performances from 10 buzzworthy artists including award winners, Polaris Music Prize nominees, and international touring acts featuring pop folk act Braden Lam, indie pop act Century Egg, desert rocker Ghost Woman, folk Americana duo Last Birds, singer/songwriter Marissa Burwell, alt hip hop artist Mauvey, rock pair Mise en Scene, hip hop collective Super Duty Tough Work, rap / hip hop artist Teon Gibbs, and operatic soul / alternative R&B artist Witch Prophet. 

Come Together will also feature an afternoon of business events on November 16 between the showcasing artists, their representatives, and Toronto-based industry and music companies. 

“The power of live music and the connections we make face-to-face are at the core of the music industry and it’s definitely been a deep void during the pandemic,” says Manitoba Music’s executive director, Sean McManus. “It’s exciting and humbling to be able to work with our fellow music industry association friends for a return to the stage and to create new opportunities for an incredible group of stellar artists.”
