Nia Banilbo

We're pleased to welcome Nia Banilbo to the Manitoba Music team full-time as Outreach & Events Assistant! In her new position, Nia will be taking on membership duties and working on many of our events including New Music Night and Open Mic Night.

Nia (she/her) is a proud, second-generation Filipino-Canadian. Nia’s love for music began with family karaoke sessions, being surrounded by family who exposed her to a variety of music genres and most recently, the concert culture. In 2020, Nia took her love and passion for music to a professional level, by enrolling in the Music Business program at Durham College in Oshawa, ON, graduating with honours in 2022.

"I'm excited to be taking on this new role at Manitoba Music and continuing to gain knowledge and experience. I'm looking forward to making more connections in the music industry and growing my career while supporting the local music community," says Nia.

"Nia has been an invaluable part of our team over the past two years and an important part of many projects and events. We're thrilled to have Nia join Manitoba Music full-time. We look forward to continuing to work with her and we know that our members will too," says Sean McManus, executive director of Manitoba Music.
