Manitoba Music Names Rachel Stone To New Position of Director, Operations & Communications

Manitoba Music has named longtime team member Rachel Stone to a new position within the organization, as Director, Operations & Communications. 

Rachel has been a part of Manitoba Music in operations, membership, and communications under a variety of titles since 2002, most recently as Operations & Communications Manager. In her work over the past two decades, Rachel has been instrumental in developing many of the organizational policies and community engagement strategies that are core to Manitoba Music’s mission and ethos. She has been involved in most of Manitoba Music’s programs and services, and led the development of the association’s membership, website and information management system, digital marketing and social media strategies, live music and community partnerships, human resources, and ongoing equity work. 

“This is a well-deserved recognition of Rachel’s work at Manitoba Music and her leadership both within the organization and with our external partners, members, and stakeholders,” says executive director Sean McManus. “Rachel provides strong direction for our team and keeps the organization on the right track, true to our mandate, but always looking to the future.”

Manitoba Music’s Board of Directors is completing its search for a new Executive Director as Sean prepares to step down from his role. Rachel will be the association’s primary point of contact in the interim.
