Artists from Manitoba Earn Top Honours at Covenant Awards

Manitoba-based artists picked up top honours at this year's Covenant Awards, which celebrate Christian music in Canada. The hardware was handed out at gala events on November 17 and 18 in Kitchener.

Bilingual artist and songwriter Carine Bado's "Found & Crowned" was named Gospel Song of the Year.

Bradley "DJC2" Jacobson and Robert "Fresh IE " Wilson picked up awards for Producer of the Year and Visual Designer of the Year. 

Jake Fretz won Musical Collaboration of the Year and Adult Contemporary Song of the Year for "My Home", his collaboration with Cynthia Lok. Fretz also won Worship Song of the Year for his co-write wit Jordan Janzen, "Look Up".

2023 JUNO-winning Singer/songwriter Jordan St.Cyr won Artist of the Year, Adult Contemporary Artist of the Year, and Live Music Artist of the Year. His collaborations also earned Pop Song of the Year and Seasonal Song of the Year

Winkler-based pop-rock outfit The Color picked up awards for Group of the Year and Pop Artist of the Year.

Former Manitoban Mike Janzen earned Folk Song of the Year

Manitoba-based artists landed over 35 nominations this year.  and Rosemarie Siemens are also up for awards this year.
