Soul Supreme Fest Celebrates R&B at Le Patio 340 on August 10
After selling out tickets at its inaugural event last year, Soul Supreme Fest returns for a new edition of the one-day festival celebrating R&B music next month! The event will take over picturesque St. Boniface cultural and bilingual outdoor bar Le Patio 340 on August 10 and feature performances from the Soul Supreme Collection including over a dozen local music acts, DJs, and visual artists.
The mainstay event can usually be found packing in music fans at Exchange District haunt One Eleven for shows featuring a DJ and live performance. Created in 2014 and programmed by singer/songwriter Keisha Booker, the regular events fill a void in the local scene, which has a lack of opportunities for R&B performers and audiences to connect.
Artists hitting the stage for this year's fest include versatile Afro-pop/Afro-fusion artist Nú Baby, nine-piece jazz outfit NYOH, R&B artist SNACKIE, rock/soul act Roman Clarke, AFRODIEM creator Tommyphyll, and Booker herself.
Special guests including jazz saxophonist/vocalist INGIA, multi-instrumentalists/producers/composers Onyx Infinite aka Desmond Sackey and Clement Sackey, and hip hop artist Kwae Kobain will also perform.
They'll be joined by a host of DJs including Dlo, Dmixx, Llado, Riski, and Zuki, plus visual artists Vision, Famos, and Nereo.
The fest will also feature a vendor market highlighting local businesses and entrepreneurs.
Tickets are on sale now via Showpass!
