Bill Hamilton:
Bill has been a performer since his teens working as a solo singer songwriter and also with other musicians in Folk and Rock styles.
Earliest musical influences include old scratchy recordings of Casey Jones and The Wreck of the Old 97 as well as live performances by The Kingston Trio and The Weavers at the Winnipeg Auditorium. Song writer influences are are Paul Simon, early Bob Dylan, Lennon and McCartney, Otis Redding, Gordon Lightfoot, Ian and Sylvia and a general interest in folk rock and harmony composition.
Bill's own compositions are uplifting with a bit of McCartney playfulness. Songs about relationships, natural wonders, mysterious legends, love, family life, life in Manitoba and more. Compositions that reflect an inspired and inspiring writer, arranger performer and singer.

Bill has performed at the Wpg Folk Festival in a workshop with John Hartford and Beverly Cotten He founded and ran the U of M's "Stillmore" an acoustic music venue. For the last ten years he has produced and directed The Whiteshell Music Festival for The Trans Canada Trail (see The Trans Canada Trail Song)
Bill has written music for The Myriad Theatre Troupe. He is a regular performer at Prairie Ink in McNally Robinsons, at the Wilton Coffee House, Folk Night in the Exchange and the Songwriter Explosion on Osbourne. Bill is currently writing music for a documentary film called "Carless".
