Derek Helps is a middle aged singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from the prarieland home of the mosasaur, Morden MB. His debut album 'That Night, a Forest Grew' was released April 14. Recorded using 4 track cassette and digital recorders, the album consists of 10 songs that draw inspiration from the likes of Chad Vangaalen, Bob Seger and Radiohead, woven with soundscapes and sonic textures crafted to reflect the wow and flutter of the human creature experience.
