Rock
Forged from the fires of Lit Religion in October 2021, Winnipeg’s heaviest new four person power bottom trio, Homer S Thompson, emerged fully formed.
A mind bending sonic cornucopia of musical influences, from hard country and garage rock, to hip hop and reggae, they have slayed audiences in the legendary Royal Albert Arms, Bulldog Event Centre, The Osborne Taphouse, and X-Cues Billiards Hall with their cruncy, clever songs about love, science and the things that keep them awake at night. Featuring catchy hooks, sing along chorus’, and maybe slightly above the perfect amount of guitar solos, they are a tight and energetic live band guaranteed to get you where you need to go.
“They are like if Gord Downie and The Mountain Goats had a baby, and that baby sang for The Pixies. There’s a little bit of Neil Young in there, too.”
- Jacob Letkeman (The Bros Letkeman, The Prairie Joggers)
They have released their debut album “Live, Laugh, Love Haul” to a spirited audience, featuring all the hits, and are currently recording their second full length album, “Pettier Than Tom” to be released whenever they feel like it.
Be sure to catch them wherever you like music as well as on Instagram @homersthompson and on Facebook
