Acoustic Folk Francophone Singer/songwriter
Jasmine Elyse is a self made folk- singer songwriter. She started writing music in 2021 and has been growing her repertoire ever since. Being a Franco-Manitoban, she writes a mixture of French and English songs. With indie folk and traditional influences she creates a one of a kind mix of folk with her guitar and violin. Her lyrics are emotionally honest and relatable with a mix of nostalgia, love, and heartbreak. “Music help me tell stories that would otherwise never be told” she said. She grew up playing music in southern Manitoba and her influences are Wild Rivers and Ocie Elliot. Jasmine Elyse has played at various festivals and events as a solo artist and also part of local bands.
Her single “When we were young” marks a breakthrough in Jasmine Elyse’s music journey as her first single When We Were Young was released in 2023. She worked with Roman Clarke, on her new single "Oh my darling" that was released in March 2024. She is now recording an EP to be released later this year.
