MAE grew up studying classical piano and voice, playing in jazz and concert bands and writing her own music. Always a fan of good beats and low bass, she developed deep appreciation for multiple genres of electronic dance music. In 2015 she decided to officially learn the tips & tricks to place herself behind the decks vs. out front.
Although she experiments with a variety of genres, MAE's primary love is house music from soulful to tech, and has long-standing affinity for UK garage, disco and tribal infusions.
She’s opened for acts such as Fred Everything, Mark Farina and Unit42, and - in support of developing female and non-binary talent within the DJ community in Manitoba - produced the Chemistry and Collective Vibes events in Winnipeg.
Past engagements include (but are not limited to): Memetic (MEME) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, Emotion Arts & Music Festival - St. Laurent, Manitoba, Tribal Fusion - Minnedosa, Manitoba, the Winnipeg Theatre Awards, SPUR Festival, Casual Friday (ANAF Club 60), Winnipeg Pride Festival, Back2House events, Footw3rk Dance Club, Martha Street Studio, Girls Rock Winnipeg, the Metropolitan Event Centre, the Pyramid Cabaret, the Park Theatre and sHift Radio (UMFM 101.5).
