Emerging singer-songwriter Mckye is a real-life Bard. When your character needs inspiration, Mckye is here to help you remember you're not alone - being a human is nuts. Let’s hold hands (in a gay way if you want) and sing to the stars - folk meets rock meets gospel meets what is she doing oh well let's sing. Mckye is layering cheeky vocals, songweaving ancient truths and somehow riding the line between ethereal and bog queen. 

Ten years after music school, leaving BC, coming out and a mental breakdown, 2024 was BIG WOW for Mckye. She released her first single “Scrollin” which was  selected to be showcased at the “Good + Plenty” New Producers showcase in Winnipeg. She held her  “Late Bloomer” show at Ctrl Space Records and held Winnipeg's first One-Day Choir at The Forks. 2025 will be a season of writing, collaborating and performing around Winnipeg and beyond because. Mckye is ready to be seen, heard and laughed with or at. It's the season of the witch.
