Philippe Meunier

About

Philippe is an accomplished musician and composer who plays various genres such as Latin Music, Flamenco, Gipsy Kings Rumba and Classical Guitar. His passion for Spanish Music led him in the heart of Spain where he takes his inspiration and over the years he made several nationwide recordings for CBC and released various original music. He is currently a member of The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN).

Philippe performed across Canada, played for International Festivals, accompanied Flamenco dancers and his talent is often showcased at major events. For instance, in conjunction with The Barber of Seville & Don Giovanni by the Manitoba Opera, for the opening of the exhibition Picasso in Canada and for the Spain Trade Commission. Philippe is sponsored by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Manitoba Arts Council, the Winnipeg Arts Council, Canadian Heritage and Machine de Cirque.
