Raised in the underground hip hop scene, Canadian musician "Saint Vital" combines rap with his alternative/punk vocal style for his own unique brand.

Writing about his triumphs and struggles in life, Vital's lyrics are derived from his own experiences with the subjects he sings about.

Along with the emotional vulnerability he puts in his music, he also enjoys pushing the boundaries with songs about his political stand points on religion, government, and society - defined as an anarchist, due to his refusal to be confined by labels or put in a box.

Born Mason David Hinds on June 21, 2003 in Winnipeg, Canada, he grew up in the city district Saint Vital, in southern Winnipeg. Getting his artist name from the place he grew up, Mason listened to rap and punk rock from an early age, from artists like Mac Miller, Blink 182, Green Day, and Eminem. 

He began making music at the age of 13 with a $99 microphone and a free DAW on his laptop, recording his early SoundCloud tracks in his bedroom.

At 15 years old he recorded his first studio album, Rockstar, released in early 2019. Though, it was not until the release of his EP, The Lost Books of Eden, where he really found his sound in the darker side of music, in which he spoke about topics like mental health, suicide, and the controversy of religion. 

He first got a glimpse of the spotlight when he gained a bit of traction with the release his single Monster! in late 2020.
