The Big Bear is an independent Indigenous country/rock singer/songwriter. Originally from the Saugeen First Nation in southern Ontario, Gerry "The Big Bear" Barrett is now based out of Treaty 1 Territory - Winnipeg, MB. The Big Bear has released and received airplay on several original songs to Indigenous radio stations across Turtle Island.
The Big Bear is proud to have worked in the studio with many talented Winnipeg musicians.
The Big Bear is also a former radio Broadcaster/Stand-up Comedian and Elvis Presley Tribute Artist.
The Big Bear is a survivor of the 60's Scoop. He is currently producing his first album with songs inspired by the small town he was raised in: Grand Valley, Ontario. His current releases include, "Valley Nights" and "Kissing in the Cornfield". These songs are available on Youtube music, Apple Music and more.
The Big Bear is available to showcase and entertain at conferences and events across North America.
