The Virden Empire-Advance is a weekly, Friday publication, with an approximate circulation of 2,100 and services the Town of Virden and rural areas of Oak Lake, Elkhorn, Cromer, Kenton, Miniota, McAuley, Kola, Hargrave and Lenore.

Virden is situated on the TransCanada Highway and has subscribers throughout southwestern Manitoba, into Saskatchewan as and across Canada.
