WHY is a Canadian Alternative Rock Band with Jeremy Dell(lead guitar), Dave Bergmuller(drums), Brian Cook(vocals) *feat live: Mandy Peters(bass), Eric Nordquist(keyboards/rhythm guitar).
2007 WHY released the album “RED” The single (and title track) "RED" sat a #1 on the KICK FM Winnipeg Top 40 for 4 weeks in a row, and was named "Song of the Year". Second single, "The Surface",hit charts, hitting #1 on KICK FM and #5 on THE Q FM in Victoria, BC.
2010 a early demo of "PRISONER of HOPE" is released supporting UNICEF's work in Haiti. 100% of WHY’s iTUNES profits go directly to UNICEF.
WHY have played festivals, have been opening act for recording artists: DANKO JONES, ILL SCARLETT, EDGAR WINTER...
WHY were voted “Best Rock Band In Canada” by INTEL CANADA star search.

WHY were invited by Bono's organization ONE, to film a performance of a iconic Protest Song to be part of Bono's brainchild Agit8 for the G8 to draw attention to extreme poverty. WHY covered The Stones "Gimme Shelter" and invited beloved Winnipeg R&B singer FLO to join the rooftop performance.
WHY's performance is featured on ONE.org international site. WHY were the only Canadian rock band asked to participate.

Nov 2019 WHY released the album "Despite All The Darkness"

Just Before COVID lockdown WHY quickly recorded the single "Calloused Heart". 
The single was released in full length and radio edit. Available on all streaming platforms.

Dec 1st 2023 WHY released their single "Soul Declares"  Radio Edit for "Soul Declares" Released 2024 (Available on all platforms.)

Followed by the release of "Soul Declares" (Energy Drink Remix) by WATERMARK

May 2024 WHY released "Soul Declares (Single Mixes)" EP on all music platforms. 

WHY just headlined 2 nights at the Winnipeg FRINGE FESTIVAL at the CUBE Main Stage.
