ZRADA

About

ZRADA’s sound originates equal parts in the fog-shrouded Carpathian Mountains and the mosh-pits of an Anthrax show.Their music is exciting yet mysterious and primal in a unique way. ZRADA's songs have the ability to transcend language and act as a siren call for those ready to let loose and pick up on the band’s frenetic energy. While ZRADA’s music strives to defy the conventional tropes of Ukrainian music from the diaspora, they remain proud of their musical and linguistic heritage. Each ZRADA song leads the listener farther into a psych-folk universe of melancholy, madness and mystery.

“ZRADA’s album is 16 tracks of harmonious majesty, intricately crafted with raucous rock attitude.” – Stylus Magazine

“Balkan and Slavic melodies fused with old-school punk rock energy and set to a raging boil.” – Winnipeg Free Press

"Zrada is much more than just a killer band. They are raw spirit, generations and genres blown wide open, bones and flesh and electricity made one. It’s the Black Sea meets Black Sabbath. It’s all about the music, of course, but the line between the stage and the crowd is crossed, and the room becomes a storm. It’s a spectacle, it’s a wall of sound, it’s full of surprises, and it’s a lot of fun!"                                                       - John Scoles - Owner & Manager- Times Change(d) High and Lonesome Club
