About

Sly Skeeta is an Ojibway and East African music artist raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. From living in a broken home, he experienced poverty at a very young age hanging around a bad crowd which got him into trouble with the law. He changed his life around and started learning how to write poetry which turned into rap songs.
Years of experience in the local hiphop scene, the sound of Sly is rapid fire rhymes on hard hitting beats that compell his audience with his powerful voice and witty lyricism!  Known for making Club anthems he also speaks up for First Nation Youth who are affected by poverty and many issues in the community. Sly toured across Canada opening up for international artists/djs and was also featured on the Red Robe Women Drum Society Singers compilation which was sent to Parliament in Ottawa and the group recently performed at the 2014 Juno Awards. With two mixtapes and a full length album titled 'The HeArtist' released, it featured numerous local and national singers and rappers with songs that are  played  on various radio stations across the country, Sly wants his music to make people dance and be heard around the world!
