Past song of the week / October 2012

Sweet Alibi
"Get It Right"

From the album Get It Right (Single)

Featured track, available from October 4 to October 12

Eleven Manitoba folk and roots artists are heading to Mississauga this month for the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals (OCFF) conference. Manitoba Music will be presenting three chances to catch the artists live at the 26th annual event, which runs October 11-14. This year’s performers include Kayla Luky, Flying Fox and the Hunter Gatherers, JD Edwards, Cara Luft, Red Moon Road, JP Hoe, The F-Holes, Matt Epp, Jenny Berkel, Demetra, and Sweet Alibi. To help send them off, we have Sweet Alibi's brand new single, "Get It Right" as this week's featured song. The trio will hit eastern Canada around OCFF and then return to Winnipeg for a video release for "Suddenly", a tune of its debut self-title album, at The Park Theatre on November 28. The trio also landed a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for Vocal Group of the Year. Download "Get It Right" for free, read the full OCFF story, and catch the band live on the road or right here in Manitoba.
