Winnipeg punk rock outfit Distances is unleashing its debut self-titled EP. The quartet -- which features Nicholas Herzog (Waster/Everyone Everywhere), Florian Maier (From Grey Waters), Elijah Sangalang (The All Night/Common Lives), and Chris Ferguson (The Afterbeat/Brat Attack) -- recorded the four-song release with Mike Petkau Falk (Les Jupes/Head In The Sand). It'll be available October 16 for free or "pay as much as you want" on the band's Bandcamp site. Distances will hit the Red Cactus on October 25 with Greater Than Giants, Kids & Heroes, and Fire Away, and Park Theatre on October 31 for a show with Brilliant Bastards, Dangercat, and Grand Beach. Meanwhile, you can get a taste of the EP from this week's featured song, "Faux Real". Download it for free and stay tuned for Distances' physical release later this year.
