Nova explodes onto the Manitoba scene with Midnight Midnight. Fresh from a western Canadian tour, the rock trio's debut is out on local indie label Distintegration Records, which is also home to Nova member Greg MacPherson, along with Cannon Bros., Haunter, and Slow Dancers. The album features 10 tracks recorded at Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts and completed with MacPherson's Disintegration cohort, Cam Loeppky, at Prairie Recording Co.. Download Nova's "Blue Star" for free and give it a listen or three while you read features on the band in the latest issues of Uptown and The Uniter. Catch them live at their CD release (and dance party) on October 19 at Ace Art and look for them on November 21 at the Park Theatre opening for Julie Doiron.
