Mitchell Makoons is getting ready to hit the road in Manitoba and has some new music to share along the way. Fresh from the release of his latest single "Still My Father's Son" and a performance at the Winnipeg Folk Festival's Young Performers Program, the up-and-coming roots/rock musician from Brandon is joining Jerry Sereda, Ivy Venin, Kris Paul, and Sherri Shorting on the Manitoba Arts Network's Indigenous Summer Tour 2022. The northern leg of the tour includes performances in several Indigenous communities, running August 11-18. Next up is a tour out to the west coast, August 24 to September 10.
