Stacey James, is a multi-genre singer/songwriter and versatile instrumentalist whose love for music began evolving from writings in early childhood.  Influenced by her mother, who sang at military outposts and acts like The Funk Brothers, she slowly crafted a signature sound.  Staceys main instrument is the keyboard but over time has added trumpet, saxophone, fiddle, bass, electric and acoustic guitar to the mix as some of her songwriting tools.  The new single, "I Can See" is now available on all digital platforms and stay tuned for tour dates!

Her career began at 14, performing on the indie hip-hop scene.  Branching out, she then became lead vocalist & songwriter for the funk band, GroovePort.  Soon thereafter, she formed Stacey James Band and now she's thrown her solo career into full swing.  She has opened for Classified, Souls Of Mischief, MastaAce, Awol 1 and more.  Most recently Stacey has had the opportunity to sing and write for the A, J & R project. The 3 are accompanied by international musicians such as Yaron Gershovsky (Manhattan Transfer), Yosi Fine (David Bowie, Lou Reed) , Tom Fry (Nektar) ,Bob Reynolds (John Mayer) and many more... album set to release late 2019.  You can read her articles online as published by Huffington Post. Stacey has a lifelong mission to help and motivate.  She's the Founder of the annual Women Helping Women benefit concert in support of women & children leaving domestic situations and is preparing to unveil "Dealing With Feelings", her first children’s book series.
