ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Matt is a Halifax-based lawyer and owner of the music law firm Ocean Town Music. He consults with and advises music talent all over Canada. Matt is a frequent speaker on music related legal issues, presenting at conferences and events all over the country.

In addition to Ocean Town Music, Matt co-owns Jvngle Music Group, a music services platform that helps nurture and support upcoming producers, songwriters, and performers.
Matt is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, Canadian Bar Association, and International Association of Entertainment Lawyers. Matt is also on the Board of Directors of Music Nova Scotia.  
Aside from practicing law, Matt plays drums, likes to write, and is a dad to 2 kick ass kids.
