About

This workshop will show artists how to effectively write about themselves in a way that will make critics, bookers, and bloggers want to know more about them and their music while avoiding the common clichés and that would have them rolling their eyes.

About Michelle Szeto
Director of marketing and public relations at Paquin Entertainment Group, Michelle oversees the global initiatives for iconic performers such as Buffy Sainte-Marie and Randy Bachman, along with Juno-nominated singer-songwriter Del Barber. About DIY Series
The MusicWorks DIY Series is a new stream of workshops that allows new and emerging artists and industry, as well as veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the music business. It all starts with important topics that everyone needs to master including bio writing, mastering social media, pitching for publicity, touring, and understanding copyright, and ends with planning a record release, showing how each of these puzzle pieces fit together to create a cohesive strategy.

*Members can register in advance for all six workshops in The DIY Series for only $45 (a 25% discount)*
