Presented with Songwriters Association of Canada and Culture Days
An annual event for Culture Days, this year's WritersConnect features a 'bird's eye view' of collaboration in songwriting, with a ‘twist’. Participants will witness three seasoned songwriters working collaboratively to co-write a song. Utilizing the production talents of Murray Pulver, the songwriters will also record a fully produced demo as the song develops in real-time, providing the audience a look at the ever important world of basic demo production.
Songwriter and WritersConnect alumna Jaylene Johnson will moderate the session and provide a narration of the process. This play-by-play commentary will provide insights into the co-writing process and allow the audience to ask questions and discuss the experience. There will be an opportunity for Q&A with the songwriters toward the end of the session.
