About

No performer wants to give an average experience. Live performers want to deliver a punch in the gut, a joyful high, a romantic jump start of the heart. That’s something an audience can take away from a show and remember for the rest of their lives. It’s also how performers build a career... audience member by audience member.

But to achieve true freedom and power in performance, performers need liberation from the bad habits and fears that hold them back. Acclaimed singer and performance coach Micah Barnes developed this live performance workshop in Los Angeles and recently brought it home to Canada to help artists here develop a sense of confidence and power. During this workshop, Micah will ask each participant to bring a couple of songs to perform for the group. You will receive feedback and coaching based on the level you are at, and take away specific things to work on that will help you achieve your goals.

This workshop will also cover topics including overcoming stage fright, warm up techniques, discovering what material suits you best, how to connect with your material, developing a relationship with the audience, and answer the question of what makes a performance truly extraordinary rather than merely good.

For singers at all levels and experience. All styles and genres welcome.
