About

To get the gigs that pay, and keep getting them, musicians need to exude a high level of professionalism and skill. It can be less glamorous than the rock star role of lead singer, but for many is part of a sustainable career in music. So how do you stack the odds in your favor and give yourself the best chance of becoming a professional side player? This workshop will cover topics such as organization, following direction, communication skills, self-marketing, and preparedness.

The MusicWorks DIY Series is a stream of workshops offering emerging artists, music companies, and veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn music business fundamentals. The 2015 session kicks off with important topics that everyone needs to master including an intro to the music business, accounting/administration, strategic development, the new EPK, and creating a cohesive publicity strategy.

Members can register HERE in advance for all five workshops in The DIY Series for only $40 (a 25% discount).
