About

Music copyrights determine how songwriters and musicians earn money any time their music is sold, performed, covered, or broadcast. This workshop will explore how to license copyrights, including performance, neighbouring, mechanical, digital, and synchronization, plus other topics related to being properly compensated.

The MusicWorks DIY Series offers developing artists and industry, as well as veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the music business. The series starts with the music business fundamentals that everyone needs to master – bio writing, radio play, mastering social media, touring, and understanding copyright -- and ends with planning a release, showing how each of these pieces fit together to create a cohesive strategy.

Members can register in advance HERE for all six workshops in The DIY Series for only $45 (a 25% discount).
