About
Drawing on topics from earlier DIY Series workshops, this session will provide a condensed intro to the fundamentals of the music business. With topics including bio writing, social media, college radio, touring, rights management, and album cycle timelines, this discussion will be an update and refresher for participants from this past fall’s DIY Series, and a chance for new participants to catch up and prepare for this season’s events.
The MusicWorks DIY Series is a stream of discussions offering emerging artists, music companies, and veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn music business fundamentals. The 2016 session kicks off with important topics that everyone needs to master starting with an update and refresher for participants from this past fall’s DIY Series, accounting/administration, strategic development, the new EPK, and creating a cohesive publicity strategy.
