AMPLIFY YOUR SUCCESS: RELEASE STRATEGIES
Moderator: Stephen Carroll, Manitoba Film & Music)
Panelists: Vanessa Cito, Dame Ritter, Ashley Au

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Often artists have really great content that they have taken a lot of time and care in creating, but content is only half the battle! What happens when really great content is released in a way that no one hears? This session will be an in-depth discussion on strategies around how to release your music online

THE SHOW MUST GO ON: BOOKING SHOWS
Moderator: Anthony Carvalho
Panelists: Lisa Muswagon, Tessa, Hellnback

Let’s face it, most artists don’t have booking agents and most of the time artists will start by throwing their own events. How does someone go about this? How do local shows help you when it comes to booking tours in the future? Is there a way to get the attention of booking agencies by throwing your own events? This is an in-depth discussion about the ways an artist can learn to build their buzz in their own city and pave the way to hitting the road on tours.

2:45 – 3:00
10 MINUTE TOUCHPOINT WITH STEPHEN CARROLL
Ten minute discussion with a brief Q&A from Stephen Carroll.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK: BUILDING A TEAM
Moderator: Alan Greyeyes
Panelists: Dame Ritter, Vanessa Cito, Forest Blakk

People say there is no “I” in team, so how do you go about building the right team that works for you? Artists often believe that they need a manager or booking agent, but do they actually? And if they do, when is the right time? How many people make the dream work? How do you find all-stars that make sure it’s a homerun when the team steps up to the plate?

One of the most important things for an artist is their creative vision. How does this work into the process of writing, producing and even the engineering of a song? What takes a song to the next level? How are hit songs created? This in-depth discussion will cover topics on how to make a song stand out and cut through all the noise.
