About
Equalizer workshops are designed to offer a safe and encouraging environment to women and non-binary people who are interested in learning the ins and outs of audio production. This workshop will provide a basic overview of the layout of Ableton Live and an introduction to a few of its most powerful software instruments. Toronto'-based composer and electronic music artist, Laura Dickens will be leading the group to explore:
- Audio and midi recording, editing and processing
- Controlling with midi controllers
- Audio and midi effects
- Software instruments: samplers and synthesizers
After the group workshop, Dickens will be offering one-on-one sessions to those who request a meeting. This is a unique opportunity to receive advice on a specific song or project, or to ask for music-career related tips from an electronic music pro. One-on-ones are limited and reserved for those who attend the workshop.
To register and to book a one-on-one session, please send an email to training@manitobamusic.com.
