In the early 1900s unfortunate and irreversible mistakes bind Hermes, the god of travel, in gold. Now a statue, Hermes is passed from one continent to the next bringing bad luck and a feeling of "stuckness" everywhere he goes. World powers unite and decide the only solution is to send him as far away as possible to a place that no one cares about... a place in the middle of nowhere... Winnipeg, Manitoba. For over a century Hermes has perched atop the Legislature and we call him the golden boy, a statue reeking a feeling a apathy through the city and not letting anyone leave, even after they have passed away.

Enter our heroes, regular every day Winnipeggers who feel stuck but are sucked into an adventure exploring the city and meeting an infamous cast of characters (from Stephen Juba to the Grey Nuns and from Nellie McClung to Burton Cummings) who give them a new perspective.

A hilarious roller coaster ride through time, winters, socials, mysteries and many vacant floors of the Downtown Bay, 204FM is a uniquely Winnipeg buffet, created by top Winnipeg comedians and theatre artists for the citizens of our one great city.

Slow Leaves is the recording name of Winnipeg's Grant Davidson. He has garnered a reputation as much for his honest lyrics and stirring voice as his intimate stage performances and confessional story-telling. His country-tinged folk music is deeply rooted in the genuine and honest, rich in melody and sung from the heart of downtown.

For his most recent release, Beauty Is So Common (2014), Davidson, impressed by the production choices on Imaginary Cities’ debut album, sent a letter to producer Rusty Matyas. When they met as near strangers in a downtown Winnipeg jam space, the potential of their collaboration was instantly obvious. With Davidson’s songwriting, rooted deep in folk and Americana and Matyas’ keen sense of pop harmony and arrangement, they stumbled on that subtle and elusive quality that anchors all great recordings: the capture of a special moment in time.

Carly Dow’s music will leave you charmed and haunted. Her wildcrafted soul-folk blends inspiration from wordsmiths Gillian Welch and Amelia Curran, with an edge reminiscent of Neko Case. Dow’s songwriting reflects a deep appreciation of beauty and darkness balanced throughout personal, physical and natural histories. The depth, space and stark allure of her home province of Manitoba seep into her music as main influences, which is apparent in the delivery of her striking, smoky vocals. Soft and sultry, pretty and gritty - this music has it all.

Ingrained is Dow’s first solo studio recording and was co-produced herself along with Darwin Baker and Jesse Matas (Crooked Brothers) at Private Ear Recording in Winnipeg and the historical log-built Visitor’s Centre in Riding Mountain National Park.

Dow has performed locally and nationally as a solo act, a duo, or with a band - giving her a rich and adaptable musical style. She has performed with the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s Young Performers Program on multiple occasions, the National Artist Program at the 2011 Canada Games, and at various other renowned venues and festivals in Manitoba and throughout the rest of Canada.

Dow has co-produced and recorded 3 additional albums with several projects, including Lost in the Woods (Bog River, 2010), Hands in the Ground (Bog River, 2011), and her solo demo (2013).
