Veterans of Winnipeg’s house concert scene have likely seen Brock, and his extraordinary guitar slinging compatriot Blair, in some other joker’s living room before. It thrills us to announce that Brock will be making his StuDome debut this summer!
He’s been called the illicit love-child of Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams and that sounds just about right, but he’s so much more than that as well. Brock has been making records since 2003 and somehow they keep getting better. His latest, last year’s “Pulling Your Sword Out Of The Devil’s Back”, made the TwangTrust’s Top Ten of 2016, plus “Walking In The Dark” from that album recently placed 2nd in the International Songwriting Competition (judged by the likes of Tom Waits, Pat Metheny, Lorde and Moby).
