Seasoned jazz singer, songwriter and pianist Helen White enjoys performing in every location -- whether it's a big show in a theatre with an eight-piece band, an outdoor stage, an intimate cafe setting or living room playing solo. She is a regular at all the main jazz venues in Winnipeg and last year enjoyed singing with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra four times! 2013 saw the release of her second album of originals, where she is able to showcase her singer/songwriter side, a mix of many different musical styles. Having attained a Masters in Jazz Performance, White is a vocal instructor at Portage Conservatory of Music, as well as Winnipeg Conservatory of Music, Canadian Mennonite University, International Music Camp and a choir director. She has performed in many festivals over the years and particularly likes supporting local arts (and raising money for local charities) and playing piano in fancy hotels.

AT NOON: JAM WITH SAM - Bring your guitar or your voice and a song or two, or just bring your friends and join us for Jam with Sam from noon to 3:00.  It's free and everyone is welcome.  Come down to Sam's for a great jam session!
