About

Join us for a singer-songwriter night @ Le Garage Café on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, with Steven Hees, Fever Rose, and Erik Klassen.

No cover, show starts at 9:00.

1st:
Steven Hees is a singer-songwriter who writes original songs about anything from feelings of longing to the prairie town he grew up in. Heavily influenced by Donovan Woods, Great Big Sea, and Half Moon Run, Steven uses his lyrics and guitar to channel emotions and recount experiences.

2nd:
Fever Rose is a project based out of the Canadian prairies. They take influences of jazz, blues and alt-folk to create their sound using a guitar and voice. With inspiration from Portishead, Cocorosie and Feist, Fever likes to use their loop pedal to create walls of harmonies and twisted guitar lines.

3rd:
Erik Klassen is a singer-songwriter from rural Manitoba. He blends folk, pop and ska/reggae, creating original songs with a strong emphasis on lyrics which range from history, to mythology to social commentary as subject matter. With artists such as Current Swell, the Tragically Hip and Xavier Rudd as his greatest musical influences, Erik performs acoustically when not supported by his band, These Old Fangs.
